Dr Omar Awale is a general and family physician who graduated from the Ohio State University Family Medicine Residency Program in 2005. He holds Master's in Infectious Diseases and Tropical Medicine. He received his medical degree from the Ateneo Patavino in Padua, one of the first in the world to exemplify the idea of the Gymnasium Omnium Disciplinarum.
Currently he is practicing in his private clinic in Columbus, Ohio. He is interested in treating chronic diseases and HIV as well as health promotion/health education.
He is commited in improving the health and quality of life of underserved individuals. In 2005 he was awarded the Ohio State University FM Community Service Award in recognition of his foresight, persistence and innovation in caring and helping communities in need.
Dr Awale is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Ohio Academy of Family Physicians, and National Medical Association.

Dr Mohamud D Afgarshe attended to the School of Medicine & Surgery at the Somali National University in Mogadishu, Somalia. He then joined the Ministry of Health in Somalia where he worked in various capacities.
He obtained a Master's in Publick Health from Prince Leopold Institute of Tropical Medicine in Antwerp, Belgium
He completed his Internal Medicine training at Howard University Hospital in Washington DC and was one of the assistant chief residents.
He has won the Medical Honor Society Award, Alpha Omega Alpha for teaching medical students at Howard University Hospital.

Dr Ahmed Dalmar graduated from Medical Military Academy, St Petersburg, Russia , with honor ( Laurea cum Laude) in 1973. He worked in Central Military Hospital in Mogadishu and Famine Relief Camps in Beer and Ainabo in Northern Somalia, where he was awarded a Silver Medal and Scholarship Merit to study in Italy. He completed his residency in Urology in 1979 at the University of Pisa Medical School, Pisa, Italy.
In 1980s Dr Ahmed Dalmar worked as urologist and surgeon in Central Military Hospital inMogadishu and also as an Assistant Professor in Urology/Nephrology at the Somali National Medical University.
In 1990 Dr. Dalmar took a Preventive Medicine Course at the Academy of Health Science US Army . He also completed a three year post doctoral fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine and Hypertension at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He also completed an Intermediate Methods Course at Rollins School of Public Health of Emory University and Center for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta Georgia and later obtained an MS in Epidemiology from Graduate School of Biomedical Science, Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. Dr. Dalmar then became a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator from Association of Clinical Research Professionals. He is also a Certified Clinical Trial Investigator
From 1995 to 2003 he worked at the Medical College of Wisconsin as a research volunteer, posdoctoral fellow, Senior Research Associate and partecipated as co investigator, subinvestigator and coordinator in several NIH and pharmaceutical industry sponsored studies.
Dr Ahmed Dalmar was instrumental in the conduct and completion of the study "Cardiovascular Risk Assessment in Somali Immigrants in Minneapolis.
Currently Dr A Dalmar works at Aurora Health Care Inc/ University of Wisconsin Medial School as a Clinical Assistant Professor and Coordinator, clinical research. Certified Clinical Trial Investigator.
Current Research Interests: Epidemiological transitions of Somali Immigrants in USA - Risk assesment of hypertension in blacks and new model of conducting clinical trials.

Dr. Hassan has trained at the Somali National University and the University of Rome “La Sapienza” where he finished a Gastroenterology Fellowship. In addition, he completed a residency program in Internal Medicine and a Gastroenterology Fellowship at Howard University Hospital in Washington DC. He also completed an advanced fellowship in Hepatology and Liver Transplant Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Dr. Hassan became a faculty member as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine-Gastroenterology Division at the University of Minnesota in 2004. His responsibilities include: Endoscopic Services, in-patient consults, and out-patient clinics.

He also published in the United States on the topic of hepatitis C in sickle cell patients.
